Civil society in Montenegro remains one of the key corrective mechanisms of the government, but it operates in an increasingly complex and politically challenging environment. This, among other things, results in the lowest level of involvement of the NGO sector since the beginning of Montenegro's negotiations with the EU, emphasized Daliborka Uljarević, Executive Director of CCE, during a discussion on the state of civil society in Montenegro at today's meeting of the EU-Montenegro Civil Society Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) in Podgorica.
