The Municipality of Pljevlja has ceded almost 1,500 m2 of land free of charge to the housing cooperative of Montenegrin educators "Solidarno", so that in the coming period a building with apartments for Pljevlja educators can be constructed.

By providing the plot free of charge, the local government has taken an important step towards the future construction of 30 apartments for educational workers. The location is located near a former brickyard, and the management of the plot has been transferred to the Housing Cooperative of Educators of Montenegro "Solidarno", whose director Zoran Stanišić is pleased with the start of the implementation of this important project:

"A few months ago, at the last meeting, we agreed that the local administration, as far as they are concerned, should quickly do the job and submit a request for approval to the Government, which, as we see, was implemented with the specific allocation of this plot. I would like to emphasize that we, as a modest organization, with good results, offered ourselves as partners, we found understanding, and the result is the land on which a building with a ground floor, three floors and an attic will be built, designed and urbanistically planned," said Stanišić.

The fact that the local government has done its part of the job is also shown by the transfer of the location without financial compensation, because, as the mayor of the municipality, Dario Vraneš, says, educators deserve much more from society as a whole than they have received so far:

"Educators are the cream of the crop in every normal country, in every normal society, but that is not the case here. But what we could do, as someone who currently forms the government in Pljevlja, is to find a way to help our educators. This is certainly not enough, but it is as much as we can currently do as a local government," Vraneš emphasized.

By transferring the land, the first step towards solving the housing problem for some of the teachers in Pljevlja has been taken. There will be more to come before the final realization, but the most important thing is that the road is not too long.
