We publish their announcement in full.
The Board of Directors of the Post of Montenegro, at its meeting held on April 23, 2026, adopted the financial statements of the Post of Montenegro for 2025 with a positive opinion from the independent auditor, the Post of Montenegro announced.
The adopted financial statements show that the Post of Montenegro successfully concluded 2025, achieving a positive business result in the amount of 461,110 euros. Based on the report of the independent auditor in which the Post of Montenegro received a positive opinion, it was concluded that the financial statements were presented truthfully, transparently and in accordance with standards. The independent auditor determined that there were no irregularities in business operations and record keeping.
Despite the numerous challenges that the Post of Montenegro faced in the previous year, the Company managed to maintain stable operations.
A key and long-standing challenge in the Post's operations related precisely to issues of real estate - discrepancies between the type and scope of real rights over real estate in the business books in relation to the records of real rights in the real estate registers, which is why the independent auditor issued a reservation.
Although the largest changes in terms of real rights over real estate occurred in the period up to 2019, which for this management represents an inherited and existing situation, they were recognized and noted only when preparing the financial statements for 2021, and regarding the issue of proper recording of real estate, this management did everything possible, including initiating proceedings before the Basic Court in Podgorica.
The independent auditor appreciated these efforts and gave a positive opinion on the financial statements of the Post of Montenegro for 2025. Such an important independent confirmation of the correctness of the work of the Company's management is particularly significant because it indicates the stability and transparency of operations, as well as the fact that the numerous projects launched in the last few years have been key to the development of this state-owned enterprise and have been implemented in accordance with the law.
Since 2021, the Post of Montenegro has undergone a strong and comprehensive transformation, growing from a system burdened with outdated processes into a modern, functional and development-oriented company. In a period when operations were limited by outdated technologies and modest economic sustainability, a modernization cycle began, which brought concrete and measurable results at all levels. Therefore, it is very important to us that the importance of the initiated projects, responsible and homely management of the Post, as well as a conscientious attitude towards clients, as well as employees of the company, is recognized through an independent audit report.
One of the most significant steps forward is the introduction of a new information system – an integrated digital solution that connects all key processes, from receiving, processing and tracking shipments in real time, to financial services and customer relationship management. This has automated numerous previously manual processes, reduced the possibility of errors, and significantly improved the speed and reliability of service. This system represents the foundation of digital transformation and enables quality planning and further development of the business.
In parallel, a whole range of e-services has been developed that allow users to perform a large part of their services online, without having to visit a branch. The system for issuing qualified electronic certificates has also been improved, further strengthening the Post's role in the state's digital infrastructure and supporting e-commerce for citizens and businesses.
As 2024 was a historic year in terms of business and financial success, with a net profit of 2.5 million euros, the development plan for 2025 included investments in long-awaited projects necessary for more reliable and modern business operations. Of particular importance is the development of logistics capacities through the establishment of a modern logistics center and the planned automation of processes, which allows for faster and more precise processing of shipments and better support for the growth of e-commerce. For these purposes, a new, more modern and adequate space was purchased, which also increased the company's capital. This is a significant project, which will not only improve services and increase the level of efficiency, but will also greatly facilitate the daily work of employees, as many manual processes will be automated. The Post of Montenegro has allocated 3 million euros from its own funds for the needs of the Logistics Center. This is 2,600 square meters of space, 3,000 square meters of land, with plenty of parking spaces for operations, freight elevators and other necessary machinery, as well as complete equipping of the center. Such an investment from our own funds was only possible thanks to responsible and strategic business management in the previous period.
Also, among the more important projects, the introduction of parcel machines throughout Montenegro can be highlighted. The purchase of modern parcel machines is an investment worth 450,000 euros. This represents a completely new service, which allows users to pick up parcels 24 hours a day, without waiting, which significantly improves the availability and quality of the service, and is also a great relief for our employees.
A major step forward was also made in the modernization of the vehicle fleet. New delivery vehicles were purchased, including electric vehicles and dozens of electric mopeds, which improved delivery efficiency, but also initiated the process of transitioning to environmentally sustainable operations. In 2021, defective vehicles were found, several decades old, which could not keep up with the Post's business progress trend, but were not even elementary safe for our employees. Today, we can say that the Post has an enviable vehicle fleet, safe for employees and capable of meeting the needs of the increasingly wide range of Post operations. Direct investments in vehicles and equipment cost the Post over 800,000 euros. These investments, along with the modernization of equipment, directly facilitated the daily work of employees in the field. Also, when we talk about improving conditions for employees, the process of purchasing new uniforms for employees is underway, for which 400,000 euros have been allocated.
It is particularly important to highlight the continuous increase in employee salaries, which seemed almost unfathomable in 2021. This confirms that employees, led by management, are the key drivers of all changes and development in the Company.
Significant attention has also been paid to improving the branch network through the adaptation of existing and the opening of new modern spaces, which has improved working conditions and the quality of service for users. This is a continuous process and the arrangement of facilities, modernization, as well as the opening of new branches has been significantly intensified in the past five years, with the needs of Posta's clients and employees being prioritized.
Taking all of the above into account, it is clear that the previous year 2025 was a year of strong investments, major investments in infrastructure, improving services, taking care of employees, and ultimately strengthening and ensuring secure business in the long term.
Today, the Post of Montenegro represents a stable, modern and technologically advanced system that successfully meets the demands of the modern market. The transformation that began in 2021 clearly shows how strategic investments, digitalization and care for employees can revitalize and improve one of the most important public services in the country. Only today can we conclude that the Post is an institution of public importance and a service for all citizens.
Finally, it is important to note that the process of improving and strengthening the Company has only just begun. This is continuous work and in the coming period we will continue in the same spirit and with the same goal, which is for the Post of Montenegro to reach the level of the best European postal systems. Today's confirmation from the independent auditor is certainly an additional motivation, but also an obligation for all upcoming projects.
