The ministry states that during the field inspection, dozens of buildings were recorded, while on the first day, 16 people were prosecuted for carrying out work without a building permit. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the mentioned persons, and a ban on further work has been imposed.
"The Ministry emphasizes that, in the event of continued illegal construction, decisions will be made to demolish the buildings, modeled after the procedures implemented in the territory of the municipality of Žabljak at the end of 2025," they emphasized in the statement.

They emphasize that the action of increased inspection supervision is being carried out in coordination with officers of the Police Directorate - Crime Prevention Sector, Department for Suppression of Complex Forms of Economic Crime, Financial Investigations, Fight against Corruption and Environmental Crime.
"Intensified controls will continue in the coming period, and construction inspectors will, in accordance with legal authority, without exception take administrative measures and actions against all persons who carry out work without the necessary documentation."
Furthermore, they emphasize that criminal charges will be filed against all persons found to be carrying out work without a construction permit, in cooperation with officers of the Police Directorate, all in accordance with Article 326a.
The Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property announces that, in cooperation with the competent institutions, it will consistently apply legal regulations in order to protect space, prevent illegal construction and preserve the public interest.
