Of the 120 tons of waste collected in the capital annually, a third is found next to the containers, emphasizes the company \"\u010cisto\u0107a\". That is why the teams of the Municipal Services install video surveillance in about 80 locations every day - in order to identify those who illegally dispose of waste. The cameras have already been installed in Zlatica, Konik, Zagori\u010d, Masline and other settlements...<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Today, the plan is to install five, three in this stretch on \u0160panskih boraca Street, one behind the Marko Miljanov school and the fifth on Kozara\u010dka Street, when I arrived I saw that it had already been installed. About 80 cameras are planned, 10 cameras in each settlement. Some cameras will probably be changed, where citizens are called upon to behave in accordance with the law. We will remove them and install them in locations that citizens find as new places for waste disposal. That number of cameras will be expanded,\" said Muzafer Muradba\u0161i\u0107 from the \"\u010cisto\u0107a\" checkpoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The effect of the installed video surveillance will only become apparent, says Muradba\u0161i\u0107, adding that illegal waste disposal has been a major problem for \u010cisto\u0107a, but also for all citizens, for many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"There are three scenarios - that recycling yards that provide citizens with the opportunity to dispose of sorted waste for free, the second is that \u010cisto\u0107a's demands will increase to remediate for a symbolic fee, and the third is that citizens will find a new location. There are indications that one has already started, we will see if it will continue,\" says Muradba\u0161i\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, even before video surveillance, rigorous fines were imposed, Muradba\u0161i\u0107 recalls that for private individuals they amount to 500 euros, and for legal entities 1,500 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"This has not been touched, but the effect is visible, that's it. European civilization is not based on agreement either, but on the fear of citizens that they will be fined, there is no other method. WE tried other ways, leaving phone numbers, to fix it ourselves, but it didn't bear fruit,\" he points out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u010cisto\u0107a reminds that removing waste next to the containers is not a direct obligation of that company - they believe that identifying the perpetrators will greatly facilitate their work, and if necessary, they will install more cameras. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
