Following an agreement between the Prime Minister and farmers, dairy farmers and retail chains over the weekend, milk purchases from small producers were resumed. And starting Monday, a 15-day campaign of reduced prices for homemade yogurt began in all stores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For another 12 days, a liter of homemade yogurt will cost 99 cents on the shelves of all stores, while a liter and a half of yogurt will cost 1.49 cents. Lower prices of homemade yogurt by 25 to 30 percent compared to market prices have attracted a larger number of customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Citizens surveyed by RTCG approve of this decision and believe that everyone should support the purchase of domestic products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That the campaign yielded results in the first three days is confirmed by data from one of the largest retail chains and the Dairy Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I compared four days this week, four days last week, and we have an increase of about 17%, so stocks are slowly decreasing and normally, everything is entering a kind of stability,\" says Milutin \u0110uranovi\u0107, owner of the \"Lazine\" dairy.
Olivera Lakoni\u0107 from one retail chain points out that their data shows a growth of 41.30%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"This is serious growth, so it really has an effect. As you know, we gave up the margin in order to encourage and support our domestic producers, we additionally promoted domestic products and further exhibited them, so on our part we provided whatever support we could at this important moment for them,\" said Lakoni\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"When money is spent on purchasing domestic products, 80 percent of the money remains in the country, and 20 percent flows out. When an imported product is purchased, only 20 cents of one euro remains in the country, and 80 percent flows out abroad,\" said \u0110uranovi\u0107.
It is estimated that food imports would be reduced by a third in just one year if every citizen spent a euro a day on purchasing domestic products.<\/a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
