Kalezi\u0107's narrower area of \u200b\u200binterest includes social transformations, contemporary political history of Montenegro, democratization and transition in Eastern Europe. He is a regular columnist for Portal Analitika and a commentator for several Montenegrin and regional media, as well as the author of numerous studies on the democratization of Montenegro and foreign malign influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kalezi\u0107 was born in Podgorica in 1994. He completed high school in Norway, where he attended the United World College Red Cross Nordic IB Diploma Program as a scholarship holder. He graduated in International Politics and History from Jacobs University in Bremen in 2016, after which he completed postgraduate studies at the University of Bremen and Humboldt University in Berlin. During his studies, he was engaged as a Teaching Assistant in the subjects of International Law and Crisis Communication. He received his Master's degree in Political Science from Northern Illinois University (NIU) as the first recipient of a Fulbright (degree) scholarship from Montenegro. He is completing his doctoral studies in the field of comparative politics at Northern Illinois University. Since April 2020, he has been employed as a senior researcher at the Historical Institute of Montenegro. He has worked as a consultant and expert associate for several international organizations, including ODIHR, OSCE, and UN. He has received a number of scholarships and awards, including the HERIC Excellence Scholarship and the Jacobs Foundation Scholarship. A lecture entitled \"Challenges of the Montenegrin Nation in the 21st Century\" by political scientist Danilo Kalezi\u0107 will be held on Tuesday, April 14 at 7 p.m. at the premises of Matica Crnogorska in Podgorica (Beogradska 24c).
