Since the war in the Middle East began on February 28, Israeli authorities have banned large gatherings, including those in synagogues, churches and mosques. Public gatherings are limited to about 50 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Latin Patriarchate had previously announced that it had canceled the traditional Palm Sunday procession that usually goes from the Mount of Olives to Jerusalem and attracts thousands of believers every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
