The Ro\u017eaje club said that chants glorifying Ratko Mladi\u0107 have no place on sports fields, and they expect a reaction from the Basketball Association of Montenegro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are publishing their statement in its entirety:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \"Basketball Club Ibar strongly condemns the inappropriate and offensive behavior of some of the local fans at the match between the local team Vukova Zeta and KK Ibar, who chanted for Ratko Mladi\u0107, convicted of genocide in Srebrenica and crimes against humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We believe that such behavior has no place on sports fields. Sports should promote fair play, mutual respect and values \u200b\u200bthat bring people together, not messages that insult victims and undermine the dignity of sports competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We expect that the Basketball Federation of Montenegro will react in accordance with its jurisdiction and sanction those responsible for such an unacceptable incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the same time, we want to clearly emphasize that this situation in no way diminishes the home team's well-deserved victory on the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Ibar Basketball Club remains committed to promoting sporting values, tolerance and respect, and we believe that it is the responsibility of all participants in sports competitions to consistently protect such principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \"We also take this opportunity to invite all our fans and fellow citizens to come in as many numbers as possible on Monday and support KK Ibar in the match against Teodo, which is the match of the season for us.
