As announced by Camaj's office, Glasovac welcomed him, emphasizing that Montenegro and Croatia foster friendly and stable good-neighborly relations, based on continuous political dialogue and cooperation, as well as on the alliance within NATO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Vice President Camaj thanked for the hospitality and emphasized that Montenegro and Croatia share partnership relations and common values, emphasizing the importance of the support that Croatia provides to Montenegro on its path towards membership in the European Union,\" the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The interlocutors also discussed open issues between the two countries, assessing that they need to be resolved through continuous and constructive dialogue in the spirit of good neighborly relations and mutual respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"On that occasion, Vice President Camaj emphasized that past mistakes should not represent an obstacle to the further development of cooperation and the building of a common European future,\" they added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, the position and rights of national minorities in both countries were also discussed, as well as the importance of their further advancement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Camaj emphasized that Montenegro is a society that draws its strength and wealth from diversity and multiethnic harmony, which represents one of its fundamental values. Special emphasis was placed on strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation and continuing political dialogue between the two countries,\" the Cabinet said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vice President Camaj also informed his interlocutor about current processes in the Parliament of Montenegro, including activities to improve electoral legislation and the results achieved during the previous year in that regard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"At the end of the meeting, Camaj expressed his expectation that Montenegro would become the first member of the European Union, expressing hope that this goal could be achieved by 2028. He also invited the Deputy Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Sabina Glasovac, to officially visit Montenegro in the coming period,\" the statement concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
