Shooting at Old Dominion University in Norfolk – gunman killed, two injured

A gunman opened fire in a building on the campus of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and was later killed, the university administration said.

Two people were injured in the shooting, and their condition is currently unknown, CBS News reports.

The incident occurred in the Konstant Hall building, which belongs to the College of Business.

A third-year student told WTKR-TV that he was in class at the time of the shooting and that the students fled after the alarm was activated.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) confirmed that its agents were on the scene.

The university has suspended classes for the rest of the day, with additional information announced at 12:15 p.m. Eastern Time.
