Sutjeska secured its sixth national championship title in the last round, so it is now only one less than its biggest rival, the Budućnost team.
"We have achieved what we have all been waiting for a long time and worked hard for. I think that in the end the title was deservedly ours, of course, first of all, thanks to all the players, fans, everyone in the club and of course to the city of Nikšić and all football fans in Nikšić. We still have a game against Jedinstvo, now the last round awaits us in a celebratory atmosphere, but we still need to take this match seriously. Of course, we will rest some of the guys who have carried the heaviest load so far and give a chance to players who have not had a chance so far," said Sutjeska coach Milorad Peković.
Although the most important dilemma has been resolved, the final round brings several very interesting duels with high stakes.
Budućnost and Petrovac will face each other in a clash to decide the fourth place that guarantees a place on the European stage. A point is enough for Petrovac, who will be the hosts, while Podgorica must go for a win in order to salvage a turbulent season in which they changed as many as six coaches.
"This match is the final for us - we are facing the toughest test of the year. We are completely focused on it, we have to put all the strength of the team and the club into this match and go for victory," said the "blues" strategist, Srđan Radonjić, in the match announcement.
The future has an imperative of victory.
"We would go for the win no matter what the situation. This is a final that must be won. We know that it is most difficult when it must be won, but we will do our best. We do not want to promise anything except that we will give the last atom of strength, both from the bench and the players on the field, so that in the end we can rejoice and win Europe," said Radonjić.
Petrovac has only recorded one victory in its last seven games, against the "fans" of Jedinstvo.
"We are facing a disciplined team that has not achieved the results it expected in recent games, which is why it has found itself in the same situation as us. It will be a tough game, with an atypical and slightly smaller pitch, but the players have been playing for a long time, the teams are the same, so there won't be many secrets. Whoever has more desire and concentration at a given moment, and the players are in the right mood, will win," said Radonjić, who expects the support of his loyal fans:
"There's a lot of talk about the game, there's a lot of euphoria and that should make the players on both teams happy. Of course, that should encourage us and I have no doubt that the "barbarians" will be our 12th player, just like in the previous two games, and that we will all be happy together in the end," concluded the Buducnost coach.
There will also be a big battle at the bottom of the table. Jedinstvo is one point behind Bokelj and will have to achieve a better result than Kotor in order to avoid direct relegation.
The team from Bijelo Polje is visiting the new champion Sutjeska, while Bokelj welcomes a relieved Dečić in front of its fans.
Jezero and Mladost Lob.bet will try to avoid the relegation play-off. The team from Donjo Gorica is in a better position, having two points more than Plav. Mladost is away to Arsenal, while Jezero will host Mornar in Berane.
