The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) continues to impose harsh penalties for match-fixing. This time, Serbian tennis player Mila Mašić has been hit, and she has been suspended until 2030.

Mašić, whose career-high ranking is 875th in the world, admitted during her hearing that she fixed four matches. She was awarded compensation for that. In addition to the suspension, she was also fined $20,000.

“ITIA continues to fight corruption in tennis,” the statement said.

In addition to the Serbian tennis player, Jana Vanik from Germany and Asibek Kasim from Kazakhstan were also suspended. The decision means that Mašić will not be able to compete in tennis for the next few years, which practically means the end of her professional career.
