Stickers advertising erotic massage have appeared in several locations in the city - across from the Slobodan Škerović Gymnasium, next to the monument to Ivan Crnojević, and across from the Public Institution Museums and Galleries of Podgorica.
In addition to public areas, advertisements of this type are also present on certain internet platforms and social networks, where similar services are offered, often without clearly indicated information about the provider.
The interlocutor of Television Podgorica, whose identity we have protected, claims that he scheduled a massage via the phone number on the official website of a registered salon in the inner part of Podgorica, and that after the treatment, he was offered a so-called happy ending for an additional fee of 30 euros.
"I received an automatic message, a robot message that they are a serious massage parlor, professional, that they only do the mentioned types of massage, that they do not provide sexual services, I find it strange that they had to state that," said the interlocutor of RTV Podgorica.
The term “happy end” is used as a euphemism for a sexual service offered with a massage. Such services are considered to be outside the scope of the registered activity. However, our interviewee points out that these are masseuses who, without the knowledge of their superiors, provide these services in order to obtain additional material benefits that they will not report to the salon where they work.
"Towards the end of the treatment, the masseuse asked me if I wanted a happy ending. She asked discreetly, quietly told me so that other colleagues from other rooms wouldn't hear her, and that it would cost 30 euros. I was surprised," said the interlocutor of RTV Podgorica.
Another interviewee, whose identity we have also protected, said that he experienced an unpleasant situation during a massage at a registered salon.
"I wasn't in a position to ask me if I wanted something or not, but he spontaneously started to take off my underwear and massage my groin, which caused a very violent reaction in me, and somehow I didn't want to report it to that therapy center and its authorities," he said.
The appearance of advertisements for erotic massage points to a gray area in which sexual services are provided outside the legal framework. First of all, it conflicts with the decision on communal order.
"Offering massage is not illegal, however, when we have this type of offer that falls under prostitution and sexual content, it is a strictly prohibited activity and actions that are even recognized by the Criminal Code. And offering is mediation in prostitution, which is recognized by the Criminal Code," says lawyer Đorđije Vukmir.
Lawyer Đorđije Vukmir states that this phenomenon is ubiquitous and that it is difficult to prove in court or eradicate, but there is a way.
"Secret surveillance measures, which in these situations are a suitable way of collecting evidence against such a person or network, and I assume that this is a network of intermediaries in all these activities," Vukmir points out.
The RTV Podgorica team tried to contact the person whose phone number was listed in the ad, but the number was unavailable.
Whether these are individual cases or a practice that is difficult to control should be determined by the competent authorities, who, by the time the report was broadcast, had not provided us with the requested answers.
