Fifth-grade students from the "Vuk Karadžić" Elementary School participated in the presentation of the "Every Drop of Water Matters" campaign. During the presentation of the "Every Drop of Water Matters" campaign, students learned from employees of the Podgorica Waterworks what the processing process involves before water reaches the taps.

"Only 0.65% to 3% of the total water on earth is available as drinking water. Does anyone know what drinking water or potable water is? Drinking water is water that has been purified in waterworks and can be drunk and does not contain any toxic substances," said the Water Authority

The students also learned where most of the city gets its water supply.

"The Mareza water source supplies the majority of our city's residents, followed by well systems in Zagorič and Ćemovsko polje. The total length of the pipeline in the territory of the Capital City is 842 km. Usually when you walk on the sidewalk, if you see that round cover on the sidewalk, know that there is a pipeline underneath it through which water comes to your household," said the Waterworks.
