The very title of the exhibition, which refers to the meeting of opposites, hints at a space in which peace and unrest, light and darkness, inner and outer intertwine. It is precisely in this relationship of different states and sensibilities that Šuković's artistic expression develops.
The exhibition brings together a selection of paintings and drawings through which the artist builds introspective visual spaces, on the border between the real and the imaginary. His works carry a strong atmosphere and a recognizable authorial style, in which figuration, symbolism and inner experience are connected into layered visual wholes.
Šuković's work is characterized by an expressive line, emphasized sensitivity and tension between opposing elements, through which he shapes a world of personal visions and inner states. In these scenes, silence, contemplation, restlessness and the need for meaning are recognized, but also space for personal interpretation and individual experience of the observer.
The exhibition in Podgorica brings together works created in different periods of his creative work and provides insight into the oeuvre that is continuously developing through painting and drawing, with a consistent visual language and a strong emotional charge.
Miroslav Šuković was born in 1977 in Bihać. He lives and works in Kolašin and Podgorica. He is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since the beginning of his artistic career, he has exhibited at numerous solo and group exhibitions in Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. He won the Cetinje Art Salon "Thirteenth November" award in 2015, and his works are in private collections in the country and abroad.
